The two editions have different target groups:
Standard edition
If you use the Standard edition you are probably an internal
assessor in a small or medium sized company. You perform assessments occasionally
and mostly on your own. You mainly use assessments as a tool to support
process improvement. You want a simple "no fuzz" tool that will get the
work done.
Professional edition
If you use the Professional edition you are part of larger
assessment team. You do assessments frequently and on behalf of many customers.
You want more configuration options to fit your assessment style, meet
customer requirements or just make you more productive.
